Deep Dive
If you are reading this newsletter about newsletters it’s a safe bet you are running a newsletter.
Today I wanted to share with you 2 things you should do for your newsletter and others as well.
Reply to your subscribers when they reply to your newsletter. Your subscriber took some time to write back and you should acknowledge to reply.
It’s OK if you missed it, but if you see the reply, reply with something short.Reply to other newsletters, if you enjoy reading a newsletter don’t forget you support them by replying to their latest issue.
You don’t know how much it means when I get a reply. So take 5 mins to write a quick reply.
Doing these simple 2 things will go a long way with your newsletter growth. You will start to build a network of people that will come in handy in the near future.
Below is a timely tweet from Juliet I came across when I was writing this week’s issue. 😅
🤯 Don't do this in your newsletter.
Don't say:
"Please reply with your thoughts and suggestions..." if you're not going to reply back.
It's rude.
MY time is valuable.
I wrote to you with my thoughts. You could say 'thank you.'
Now, I'll never reply again.
Rant over.
