He understands the power of having an email list, sure it is not sexy like his podcast listeners, Twitter followers, or his Youtube subscribers.

But what do all those 3 things have in common? They are on a rented platform that can be taken away in a snap.

His email list he can control it, and he owns it. He can take his email list and move it to another email platform and still get the same result.

This is why you need to start building an email list. Tomorrow the platforms you are creating on, can decide to block your account and you would be stuck. With an email list you can continue to communicate with your subscribers with no worries or issues.
