improve your welcome email open rate

Morning Newsies,
A welcome email sets the tone for your newsletter and your subscribers on the style of your newsletter.
Just like a Tinder date, a first impression is everything which is why getting your welcome email open is important.
Matt McGarry does an excellent job sharing 3 ways to increase your open rates for your own newsletter. I implement one suggestion he gives by removing the double opt-in feature. Now I will need to create an automation to remove emails that don’t engage with my newsletter. This should be fun.
A great welcome email is the best way to increase your open rates.
3 tips to improve yours:
• Ask people to move your email to primary, reply, and click
• Don't use double opt-in (you'll lose ~30% of subs)
• Write a great subject line
