Deep Dive

Every week I get emails from readers who want to know which automations they need to have for their newsletter.

This week I wanted to share all 9 automation I have set up for the newsie.

Letโ€™s break it down

1/ Welcome Automation: When you sign up for my newsie you probably got 7 emails over the following days.

That is the the welcome automation where I want to warm you up and introduce you to the newsie but also myself. Itโ€™s a simple way to share other information to your new subscriber that you want them to know about.

2/ Lead Magnet Automation: If you signed up to the newsie via a lead magnet than you know what this automation is, where you give me your email and I send you an email with the lead magnet.

But this is done, via an automation that I created because I donโ€™t think I would want to do this manually.

3/ Follow Up Automation: When you sign up to my lead magnet via a special form, if my automation notices that you did not open the email that contained the lead magnet.

You will get an email the next day to remind you about the lead magnet. Itโ€™s a great way to make sure your subscriber checks out the lead magnet.

4/ Choose your own adventure: This is still in beta testing with a few subscribers. But itโ€™s where I am using the poll feature inside of beehiiv to push subscribers into another automation once they selected their option.

Itโ€™s a great way to send readers emails they want to read more about.

5/ Email Course Automation: If you have an email course, than you know how important having automation is.

I create the emails and just make sure they are all connected properly, over the next few days.

6/ Recommend subscriber: Not a lot of newsletters are doing this, but when you get a new subscriber from another newsletter who recommend your newsletter.

You can send an email to that subscriber to make sure they want to subscribe and to let them know how they got this email as well.

7/ Referral Automation: You probably noticed that from time to time I share newsletters from readers, well they referred my newsie.

Thanks to beehiiv simple referral system I have an automation set up to fire out an email after they SUCCESSFULLY referred a new subscriber.

With instructions on what I need to share their newsletter.

8/ Remove Inactive subscriber: I gotta protect my newsletter deliverability so I have an automation to remove any inactive subscribers after 90 days.

You can do 15, 60, 90 days it all depends on the style of the newsletter.

9/ Gumroad x Beehiiv: This one is a simple one, but if you sell a digital product via Gumroad. Than you can create a zap to create a new subscriber when someone buys your product via Gumroad.

And thatโ€™s all.
